This policy explains what areacode.fyi, operated by Reindex Ventures LLC, collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Analytics & advertising data: standard analytics and, once enabled, advertising cookies and identifiers (including your IP address and approximate location) to measure traffic and serve ads.
- Scam-report submissions: if you submit a report, we collect the phone number you enter, the category, your optional note, and (if provided) your email. Reports may be published publicly after moderation.
Advertising & affiliate partners
areacode.fyi is supported by third-party advertising and affiliate links. Where required (EEA/UK), advertising and analytics run only after consent collected via our on-page consent tool, built on the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework v2.2 and Google Consent Mode v2; you can review or change your choices at any time. Our advertising partners and their authorized vendors may set cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads and limit how often you see the same one. They receive only limited device and on-page data — not your scam-report submissions or email. When you click an affiliate link, the merchant may set a cookie to attribute the referral (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never share your submissions with advertisers.
Your rights
- California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request access to or deletion of your personal information and may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information via our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control. We do not sell personal information for money.
- Nevada (NRS 603A): Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information by contacting us.
- EEA/UK (GDPR): where required, advertising and analytics run only after consent collected via our consent banner; you may withdraw consent at any time.
Data retention & deletion
We keep submitted reports only as long as needed for the Site’s purpose and remove them on valid request. To exercise any right, or to remove a report about your number, use our contact / removal process.
